Handfasting Ceremonies, Wedding Blessings & Vow Renewals
Here you are, my love....you have said the biggest "YES!" of your life....and you want to consecrate and celebrate the love you share with your beloved in a beautiful and unique way. Or perhaps you have reached a milestone anniversary and want to celebrate your love with a renewal of vows.
Celtic handfasting ceremonies, which are gaining in popularity again after hundreds of years of being pushed aside in favour of Christian wedding vows, are a beautiful symbolic way to do this.
As a trained ceremonial Priestess in the 13 Moon Mystery School of Sacred Arts, and walking the path of Love, I am trained to embed the Celtic handfasting ceremony into a wider ritualistic celebration of love.
A handfasting ceremony is a beautiful rite of passage ceremony to celebrate your union with the one you love. Its roots are deeply embedded in Celtic history, and the true origins remain unknown.
There are certain key elements, the most well known being the handfasting itself - or "tying the knot", an exchange of vows, and often rings. And beyond that, there is so much flexibility in what to include. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you wish.
As a sacred ceremonialist, I spend time with you to create the most perfect and bespoke blessing of your union, completely personal to you and your beloved.
Although it is important to know that a handfasting is a symbolic rather than legally binding ceremony, it truly is one of the most poignant ways in which you can celebrate your love together in the presence of your family and friends.
The venue can be literally anywhere, giving you utmost flexibility as you plan your day.
As a trained scent priestess, I love to also include an anointing ritual for the happy couple before they take their vows of union together.
And there are multiple ways to really include your family and friends in the ceremony. It really becomes a way to unite both of you in love as well as your loved ones.
My handfasting or wedding blessing packages range from £200 - £800, and will include some of all of the following:
